Well back in Norway after a weeks fishing (May 9th-16th) with our guide for five years now. We were going to meet Geoff on the dock at 6am. Geoff is never late, so when the clock passed 6.30am I was a little worried. Story was that Geoff ate some crabmeat at a party the night before. His alergic, so he went to the hospital in the middle of the night. Eventually, he was able to show up on the dock and tell us the story. His eyes looked terrible and he needed a day of rest. We understood that very well just loocking at him.
Florida Keys Outfitters helped us out with a guide. So we met Bruce Stagg at Lorelei at 11am. The weather was awsome, little wind and hot sunny day!  We first went to the bayside for some laid up tarpon. Tony aka Ole Anton Engen and I had allready flipt a coin, so I started at the front of the boat.  We saw three laid up fish, the first fish that I cast to grab my fly, but I make the strike before the fish turned his head so........ yes I was to fast this time.
We headed to the oceanside. Tony was in front now. After few minutes string of Tarpon showed up, lots of fish. The short story is that we made both good an bad cast. Eventually I hooked a big Tarpon, 80-90 punds range. Big jumps, strong fish, WOW!! We landed the fish and the day went great after the unlucky start we had.
The next day Geoff was back in business. Good to see him rise and shine again. The wind also showed up. The next six days of fishing was really windy. Geoff worked hard, he didn`t need to go to the gym after he finished the day. Two of the days we saw only one boat on the water. We fished the backcountry. I couldn`t understand how you could handled the boat Geoff. Amazing!
We were really happy with the week. We hooked up seven or eigth fish, but lost theme all. We didn`t see that many fish, so with the wind in mind, I think we did great.
So Geoff, thanks again for the great time on the water. Looking forward to seeing you next yaer. But I also need to figuer out how I can do this two times a year, he he.
