Once upon a time it was believed that a number of the "legendary" Florida Keys fishing guides were temperamental bullies. However back in those days - a long time ago, they were the only game in town, a unique breed of cat. Those guides are now legends, pioneers and were no doubt innovators in the practice of light tackle and saltwater fly fishing... they set the tone for years to come.

At the risk of promoting my competition, I am compelled to say that the greater part of the older, present and up-and-coming generation of Florida Keys fishing guides are extremely hard working, professional, good-natured and perhaps the best equipped saltwater guides on this big blue planet.
